Record show entrants at Esk

THE Esk show society received record-breaking show section entrants at their annual show on Saturday.

Esk Show Society President Michael Jess said he was impressed with how many entrants were recorded.

“We blasted last years numbers out of the water,” he said.

“The most we had were for the needlework and horse sections.

Mr Jess said attendance was great, and the highlights were the ute barrel racing and Mike Oberle.

“The crowd and the drivers loved the ute barrel racing, which was a first for the show,” he said.

“There was also a big crowd at the bar to watch Mike Oberle perform.”

Mr Jess said the show couldn’t happen without the generous sponsors and volunteers.

“They all worked so hard, without them we wouldn't have a show.”
