Celebrate Queensland Week

QUEENSLAND Week is coming up, and businesses have a chance to show just how proud they are of their state.

Businesses can get involved in the festivities by decorating their shops, with the chance to win some great prizes.

Malamanda House of Fashion in Gatton won the best-decorated window last year and have already got their decorations up for this year.

Owner Mandy McDonnell said it was a bit of fun for the business to get involved in.

The display this year features beach, sun and football, all truly Queenslander.

Businesses looking to get involved with Queensland Week can help out in the following ways.

Decorate shop and windows in maroon theme and enter the Best Decorated Shop and/or Window competition for your chance to win $250 prizemoney to be spent locally.

Participate with sidewalk tables featuring offers or local products to help create atmosphere in the street.

Encourage staff to wear maroon to celebrate, and enter the Queensland Day in the Office competition for a chance to win $2000 credit from Di Bella Coffee.
