Queensland the best spot for sugar daddies

A WEBSITE dedicated to helping link "successful and generous" men with a "young, attractive person" has named Brisbane as Australia's sugar daddy capital.

SeekingArrangement.com released survey data on Wednesday, which found the Queensland capital had the highest percentage of men wanting to be "sugar daddies".

Painting a picture of the average "daddy", the site estimates he is roughly 39 years old, earns $237,865 per year and spends $3794 per month (almost $1000 a week) on his companions, which the website describes as a "sugar habit".

One in four of these "daddies" are married, a figure that is apparently falling.

Site founder Brandon Wade said the average sugar daddy was not a Hugh Hefner type.

In a statement released with the survey data, he said:

"Sugar Daddies are young, successful men who do not have time to traditionally date.

"This year, the number of single men joining our website doubled, and the number of married Daddies decreased."

The website was founded in the United States in 2006 and now purports to have 3 million members.

After Brisbane, Sydney ranked the highest for sugar daddies, followed by Melbourne, Perth and Adelaide.
