Putting minds to the test

STUDENTS from years 5, 6 and 7 from the Glamorgan Vale State School recently participated in the 60-Second Challenge which was part of the 2009 Science Animation Competition.

The challenge encouraged all students to explore science principles and document their findings through a short film or animation.

The students used the previous terms science experiments to base their videos on and worked in the same groups they had used for the science experiments.

There were two divisions in each state, primary and secondary, and within each division there was a winner and a runner up.

The Glamorgan Vale State School was officially named as the Primary Queensland first place winner and runner up and will receive $400 for first place and $100 as runners up.
