Missing boy to be reunited with family after public search

11am: A 3-year-old boy found in Manunda this morning has been identified and will be reunited with his family.

Police would like to thank the media and the public for their assistance.

9AM: POLICE are seeking public assistance in identifying a young boy that was found in Manunda this morning.

Around 6.50am, police were called to Birch Street after members of the public found a young boy.

He is described as being approximately 3-years-old, Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander in appearance, with brown eyes and brown hair.

He is wearing blue shorts and a white 'cars' t-shirt with red sleeves.

If you know this boy, please contact Crime Stoppers or Cairns Police immediately.
