Police search allegedly nets cash and drugs
POLICE will allege that a stolen car intercept turned into a drug and cash seizure at Springfield this week.
On Wednesday an off-duty officer spotted a hire car that had earlier been reported as stolen.
The Polair chopper and dog squad were called in to assist in apprehending the vehicle and its driver.
The vehicle was stopped and searched at Springfield, where police allegedly uncovered more than $5000 cash and more than 55g of amphetamine - as well as a relatively small amount of marijuana.
A Loganlea woman was arrested and charged with two counts of supplying dangerous drugs and one count of unlawful use of a motor vehicle.
Police are still investigating and further charges are possible.
