Police say man may help with assault on boy, 8, at Redcliffe

POLICE have released an image of a man who they say may be able to help them with a possible assault on an eight-year-old boy at Redcliffe in January.

Police said that at round 1pm on January 3, three children were swimming at a lagoon off Marine Parade when it is believed a man swimming near them assaulted the boy.

The man has then left the area and the boys have approached adults at the scene and advised of what happened.

The boy was not physically injured.

The man is described as being Caucasian in appearance, in his 40s and has a heavy build, short brown hair and blue eyes.

He was last seen wearing a black rash vest and black board shorts.

Investigations into the incident are continuing.
