Police investigating sexual assault identify man in CCTV


POLICE investigating the sexual assault of a woman that occurred on May 23 have identified a man following the release of CCTV footage yesterday.

Police would like to thank members of the public and the media for their assistance.

Investigations into the incident continue.



SARINA detectives are investigating the sexual assault of a 23-year-old woman have release CCTV footage of a man who may be able to assist them with their inquiries.

Around 11.20pm on Friday May 23 the woman walked out of the Carlons Hotel on Broad Street with a man, intending to walk to the hotel next door.

It will be alleged that the woman was forced into a secluded area of a nearby eatery located on Central Street and sexually assaulted.

The man is described as Caucasian, approximately 178cm tall with a proportionate build, fair complexion and short ginger hair and facial hair.

Anyone with any information in relation to the identity of the man is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
