The last confirmed sighting of the vehicle was in the area of Gore, a small township west of Stanthorpe on the Cunningham Hwy.

The vehicle is believed to have been stolen from New South Wales.

A Police Media spokesman said it was unclear if the vehicle had been recovered at this stage, but confirmed the RACQ CareFlight helicopter had been stood down.
