Police call for Scottish knife's owner to come forward

POLICE are calling on the owner of a Scottish ornamental knife found in the grounds of a Wilsonton business to come forward.

The knife, known as a Sgian Dubh, had possibly been thrown over the fence of Stahmann Farms in McDougall St before it was later found.

Sgian Dubhs are part of Scottish formal dress and generally worn in the right sock top.

"This one is quite valuable and of great significance to Scotsmen of Clan Brodie and the Darling Downs police are keen to return it to the rightful owner," a spokesman said.

For more information call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or Toowoomba police on 4631 6333.
