Poem "For the Soldiers" By Danica Lucciannio
I know they have fallen and passed away,
And they've played their fair play.
For the ones that died in war,
They have passed through to heaven's door.
For the ones who lived.
I'll tell you what they did,
they went home and lived their lives, with their children and their wife.
They might be blind
but some still shine,
Through their courage, blood sweat and tears,
They look older beyond their young years,
It was painful to say goodbye
And their families cried and cried.
