MORANBAH gymnast Larissa Miller has set up a Gofundme page so her parents can watch her compete in the Rio Olympics.

Ms Miller is hoping to raise $10,000, as flights to Brazil are between $8000 and $9000, she said.

She posted this on the Gofundme page:

My name is Larrissa Miller, I am a 23 year old Woman's Artistic Gymnast.

I have been selected as the only WAG athlete to represent Australia at this years Rio Olympic Games, and I have been training for this moment for almost 19 years!

This is one of the best things that has ever happened to me in my gymnastics career, and I would love nothing more than to bring my parents along so they can watch me compete.

Unfortunately at this time, flights alone to Brazil are between $8000 and $9000.

Even when I was a little girl it had always been a dream of my dads to go to Rio!

My parents have stopped at nothing over the years to make my gymnastics career possible, and I am so hopeful that you will be able to help me get my parents to the Olympic Games.

I will be so grateful for whatever comes of this.

Thank you so much.

With love, Larrissa Xx
