Gympie blokes film 'd***heads' at Double Island

IT WAS Aussie bloke commentary at its finest when two Gympie fellas spotted two 4WDs taking a bonnet-deep dip at Double Island Point on Sunday.

The on-lookers were more than a bit expletively perplexed as to why the two relatively looking expensive vehicles with heavily tinted windows were being driven in laps in a beach-side lake up to their bonnet at the 4WD haven south of Rainbow Beach.

The men captured the parade of senseless circling on film, but did not manage to work out why anyone would bath their thousands-of-dollars worth of wheels in salt water.

"That's why you've got to check where you buy your cars don't you?" one of the guys said.

But maybe it just comes down to whatever floats your boat...or car.
