A QANTASLINK plane flown from Toowoomba blew two tyres upon landing at Sydney Airport yesterday.

The flight arrived at the airport about 5pm and became stuck on the runway after losing its tyres.

The incident caused disruptions while engineers worked to replace the blown tyres.

More than 40 flights were disrupted, including incoming planes that had to be diverted for re-fuelling.

The runway reopened just after 6pm.
