Pizza delivery driver robbed at knifepoint

COFFS Harbour police are hunting for two men after a 39-year-old pizza delivery driver was robbed at knife point.

Authorities are chasing the pair - described as being either teenagers or in their early 20s - after they set upon the driver on Friday night.

The driver was walking in Prince Street when a man approached and demanded he hand over the pizzas.

At this time, a second man, armed with a knife, approached the driver from behind and pulled him to the ground.

The two men stole cash from the driver before taking his wallet and other items from the delivery vehicle.

They then ran from the area with a third person.

The driver sustained a small cut on his right thumb.

The matter was reported to police and detectives from Coffs-Clarence Local Area Command are now investigating.

Officers would like to speak with two men who may be able to assist with inquiries.

They are described only as being aged in their late teens to early 20s.

Anyone with information about this incident should call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
