Perth takes place at top with overtime win against Adelaide
INSPIRED shooting by MVP Kevin Lisch saw Perth move to the top of the NBL ladder after downing Adelaide 91-85 in an overtime thriller on Sunday.
The Wildcats, backing up from a hard-fought 80-68 home court win against Wollongong on Friday, were in front just once during regulation time before Lisch nailed a three-pointer with 27 seconds on the clock.
With key players from both sides fouled out, it was the bench players of the visitors who proved the difference in extra time.
Lisch finished with 18 points, including 16 after three-quarter time, whil skipper Shawn Redhage scored 20 and injury replacement Michael Dumigan capped on impressive weekend debut for Perth with 16 points and 13 boards.
Daniel Johnson shot a game-high 23 points for the 36ers who led by as many as 12 points early in the second quarter.
In other round 10 results, Townsville beat Melbourne 85-84 to record its second consecutive victory after dropping its first 10 games, and Sydney upset the New Zealand Breakers 75-62 in front of a sell-out crowd in Sydney.
