Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters movie review
IF you were a fan of the first Percy Jackson instalment, The Lightning Thief, then you will certainly enjoy the sequel.
With reviews swinging from very positive to negative, when watching the Percy Jackson movies you must remember that this is an adaptation of the books, not a word for word, otherwise you won't enjoy a moment of the story.
Sea of Monsters is a retelling of Rick Riordans book staring Logan Lerman as Percy Jackson.
In this instalment Percy, accompanied by his friends Annabeth Chase (Alexandra Daddario) and Grover (Brandon T. Jackson) along with new characters Clarisse La Rue (Leven Rambin) and Tyson (Douglas Smith), Percy's half brother, the group must journey to the Sea of Monsters to retrieve the Golden Fleece and save Camp Half-Blood.
Many of the storylines that were neglected in the first movie were almost rectified in the sequel, a much better book adaptation this time around.
With comedic moments, average special features and a better story adaptation than the first movie Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters is a good night out at the movies.
