ALTHOUGH the "sexy Ebola nurse" outfit turned out to be a fake, there are still a raft of people trying to cash in on the publicity of the deadly outbreak.

A browse through auction sites like eBay show various t-shirts attempting to make light of the disease that has now infected 10,000 people and killed over 5,000 across eight countries.

On eBay you can buy a "Ask Me About Ebola virus T-Shirt Flip Over head Shirt Halloween Costume Funny" t-shirt for just £11.69 (AUD$21.00)

While Cafe Press has an Ebola with blood-stained hand print for £12 (AUD$22) which is featured in their "Ebola gifts" section…

Other "funny" gifts on the Ebola theme are the Ebola thong, bumper stickers that are a play on Barack Obama's presidential campaign logo, Ebola earrings, an Ebola blanket and an Ebola jigsaw puzzle.
