Pedestrian killed at Bowen Hills

A PEDESTRIAN was killed in Brisbane on Friday morning after being hit by a truck at a busy intersection.

According to police, the heavy vehicle hit the pedestrian at the intersection of Breakfast Creek and Edmondstone Rds in Bowen Hills at 10.45am.

The pedestrian died at the scene.

Motorists were being asked to avoid the area after traffic diversions were put place on Breakfast Creek Rd and delays were expected.

The Forensic Crash Unit would now investigate.
