Pedestrian hit by car in early morning crash

A PEDESTRIAN has been hit by a car on Sandpiper Drive in Lowood early this morning.

Paramedics, including a Critical Care unit, were called to the accident at 5.23am.

A police spokeswoman said the woman was in her 20s, had suffered a serious ankle injury and had been transported to the Ipswich Hospital.
