Paramedics treat skydiver after parachuting accident

PARAMEDICS are treating a man for leg injuries following a parachuting accident west of Ipswich.

The 25-year-old landed heavily during a routine jump at Ramblers Skydive at Toogoolawah.

He suffered injuries to his femur just after 10.30am, a Queensland Ambulance Service spokesperson said.

A spokesman for Ramblers said the man was taking part in a dive in clear weather and landed heavily, injuring his legs.

The Rescue 500 helicopter is on the scene and will transport the injured man to hospital.
