Woman killed in garage: Horrifying details emerge
UPDATE 11.40am: Police officers are working to piece together how a horrifying accident killed a woman at a Sunshine Coast property.
Emergency crews rushed to the home on Curramore Rd at Witta this morning, and found the woman trapped under a small domestic van at the front of the property.
She was freed soon after, but died at the scene despite the CPR efforts of paramedics and a rescue helicopter landing on the road outside to take her to hospital.
Senior Sergeant Mick Buckley said while officers had only just begun investigations, it appeared the woman became trapped under the van after a male driver accidentally accelerated forward.
"We're just trying to piece together the series of events," he said.
UPDATE 11.20am: Forensic police officers are investigating a Sunshine Coast property where a woman died this morning after she was trapped underneath a vehicle.
Officers at the scene are speaking with residents and taking photos in the garage area and driveway of a home on Witta's Curramore Rd, believed to be the scene of the tragedy.
Emergency crews rushed to the home this morning, and found the woman trapped under a vehicle.
She was freed about 8.45am and paramedics immediately began CPR, with the woman in a critical condition.
A rescue helicopter landed at the scene, but the woman died before she could be stabilised enough for transport to hospital.

Emergency crews rushed to Curramore Rd, Witta this morning, and worked to free the woman by 8.45am as a rescue helicopter was called in.
Paramedics then began CPR as the woman remained in a critical condition, but she died at the scene.
Police confirmed the victim was a female, despite reports from the scene of a male patient.
