YOU'LL need to be quick to be among the koala enthusiasts at a DoodleJam event on the Sunshine Coast on Tuesday, September 5, that will raise funds for our unique native animal.
The event at the Noosa Arts Café at 205 Weyba Rd, Noosaville, at 5pm will launch the Queensland Koala Crusaders' Community Crowdfunding Campaign, which aims to raise $30,000 towards the cost of planting 10,000 trees in the Noosa Shire over the next year to ensure our precious koalas have food for the future.
If you haven't yet got on the invitation list, then you may miss out on an evening, which is limited to 160 attendees.
On the night, you can literally make your mark on improving the future for the koala population and all the other wildlife and flora and fauna which benefit from an increased koala habitat.
All guests will participate in a unique, fun, collaborative community painting experience hosted by DoodleJam.
The event will begin with a presentation to explain the reasons why wild koalas need our support, followed by refreshments and entertainment by local talented artists including the Kitty Kats.
QKC president Meghan Halverson said the ultimate goal was to help create protected areas and connect corridors that provide sanctuary and allow the koala to thrive and regenerate.
Organisers hope to raise 25% of their target during the event.
