THE Lockyer Valley Community Activities Shed will be the place to be on Saturday as it hosts an open day.

Everyone is welcome to see the facilities in the shed and the displays created.

There will be cake and vegetable stalls plus a barbecue.

Be sure to be around at 12.30pm for the raffle draw.

There will be some great prizes on offer donated by locals and businesses including a wooden wishing well, a Squirt Goldacres battery-powered yard spray, a toolbox set and a children's ride-on tractor.

Results of some of the shed projects will be on display and they plan to have a few games to entertain children, including an animal-petting nursery.

The open day will present vintage vehicles and machinery including the Lockyer Valley fruiterer's truck which proved a big hit at Brisbane's Ekka.

Projects in the shed are for the local community and for the individuals and members who use the machinery and facilities available.

The Ekka and the Royal Sydney Show had items made by the shed for the Lockyer Valley promotion.

Come along to see your local Community Activities Shed this Saturday from 9am to 2pm at Saleyards Rd Gatton.
