Nine face drug charges after Sunshine Coast raids

SUNSHINE Coast police have charged nine people after raids at Coolum, Noosaville, Traverston, Black Mountain, Cooroy and Pomona.

Police will allege during the searches, they found cannabis, Methylamphetamine, drug utensils, ammunition, a flick knife and mobile phones.

The search warrants led to nine people receiving notice to appears at court or drug diversion notices for 32 offences.

More charges are likely, say police.

Charges ranged from possessing and producing dangerous drugs, possessing amphetamines, possessing utensils used for smoking or administering drugs, as well as possession of explosives and unlawful use of a motor vehicle.

Police investigations are continuing.
