The worst celebrities to work for

IT PROBABLY won't come as much of a surprise to learn that being a personal assistant to a celebrity is nowhere near as glamorous as actually, y'know, being a celebrity.

The hours are long, the tasks are mundane and at times humiliating, and the egos you're dealing with are huge.

Still, there are some shockingly bad offenders when it comes to celebrity personal assistant horror stories:

Lindsay Lohan

Working for LiLo, probably a no-no.

Lindsay Lohan's ex assistant almost took the fall for crashing her car in 2012 when she claimed he was driving. The police didn't buy it, and when her assistant picked her up from the jail the next day ... she kicked him out of the car.

Bethenny Frankel

Bethenny Frankel has called for her assistants to be "thick skinned" after a job description leaked calling for a laundry list of tasks including maintaining her dog's schedule.

Mariah Carey

Mariah Carey is a known diva, so it comes as no surprise that her former nanny, Simonette Da Costa, claimed that she was forced to work 24 hours a day with no time to sleep or eat. A former assistant claimed they faced similar treatment, and both employees filed lawsuits that were settled out of court.

Paula Deen

Paula Deen was infamously called out for using racial slurs against a former employee. Sexual harassment claims were also alleged. The lawsuit for the claims was eventually dismissed.

Courtney Love

Courtney Love's assistant, Jessica Labrie, claimed Love had her forge legal documents, work 60 hours a week and then would regularly not pay her for her time. They settled their lawsuit out of court.

Lady Gaga

Assistant Jennifer O'Neil made one of the most eyebrow-raising claims when she said that Lady Gaga made her sleep in the same bed as her while she was working because she didn't like to sleep alone.

Naomi Campbell

Naomi Campbell could be the poster girl for being a difficult boss. She had 10 assault cases against her from 1998 to 2008, including the infamous thrown blackberry.

Ben Stiller

The assistant of Ben Stiller claimed that he required him to wipe the condensation off his iced tea glass before Stiller would drink it.

Taryn Manning

Taryn Manning was as crafty as her character in Orange Is the New Black when she used Windex as a makeshift weapon. Her makeup artist alleged that Manning sprayed Windex into her eyes during a brawl and head butted her in the face.

Sarah Jessica Parker

I couldn’t help but wonder: Is SJP maybe a bit too picky?

Sarah Jessica Parker allegedly instructed her staffers to refill a tiny 1.75-ounce container of vaseline with a small spoon or knife for her children's use. She stressed that the refill jar not be too big (so as to not clutter the house), and that the cutlery used to handle the vaseline must be handwashed using a paper towel followed by a cycle in the dishwasher. She also requested that a bottle of face wash and Neutrogena body wash be continually replenished for her 14-year-old son, James Wilkie, in his personal shower. Parker insists the staff not buy multiples of anything and instead prefers them to check the levels of each product daily, replacing only once the product has completely run out. Obviously her employees need to have an eye for detail.

Scott Rudin

Scott Rudin has allegedly pushed assistants out of moving cars and thrown phones. He has fired people for bringing him the wrong muffin, mispronouncing names and, in at least one case, having to attend a funeral.
