New pastor welcomed

THE Gatton Baptist Church happily inducted Doug Beahan as their new pastor last month, along with his wife Sheree.

The Beahans moved from Caboolture on the Sunshine Coast to join the Gatton Baptists and Doug said he looked forward to his new role.

“We are really looking forward to being part of the Gatton community and we have been encouraged by the welcome we have received by the attendees of the church, the local Minster’s Fraternal and the people of Gatton,” he said.

“The Gatton and Lockyer Valley areas are well known and the local churches are a major part of people’s lives in the region.

“Our desire is to make a significant contribution to the district by getting to know people and offering pastoral care in any way possible.”

Doug said he loved rugby league and also hoped to get involved with sporting clubs in the region.
