SIMONE Mackie is the epitome of being happy in your own skin.
The busy mother-of-three has made it her duty to improve her fitness and health over the past six weeks and she's not even close to throwing the towel in.
"I walk 5km a night with my husband and the kids," she said.
"Every weekend I do a 5km park run and I go to the gym twice a day."
And she's starting to see results.
"I am so excited. My overall fitness levels are increasing," she said.
"I can see changes in my body. My calf muscles are there now and I have lost 7cm off my arms."
The motivation for the 28-year-old is also her children, Ollie, Lochy and Bayley.
"I am chasing after my three kids who are active and full on," she said.
"One of my children has a hearing impairment and my frustration gets let out here at the gym."
The Calliope resident said she had never felt better about herself.
"I lifted 10kg last week and it was amazing," she said.
"If there's a big guy standing next to me or a fit-looking girl, I don't mind," she said.
"I am here to do what I want to do and not worry about anyone else."
She said she had been lazy in the past, and said she believed her positivity was all about changing her mindset.
Personal trainer Emma Verrall said Mrs Mackie was an inspiration.
