Near drowning in Noosa Heads

A SIX-YEAR-old boy has been flown to the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital in a critical condition after a near drowning at a Noosa Heads Resort.

The boy, from interstate, was found in the pool at the Noosa Parade resort on Friday evening.

He was initially taken to Noosa Hospital but was last night airlifted by the AGL Action Rescue Helicopter to Brisbane.

The matter is now in the hands of the Maroochydore Child Protection Investigation Unit.
