Murder case breakthrough
POLICE have seen some success from a road-side re-enactment, set up to gather information on the death of the Lockyer Valley man, Michael Manson.
Police set up the operation on the side of Coominya Connection Road from 8pm Wednesday night with Mr Manson's blue Ford utility and a silver Holden Commodore sedan similar to the one police believes was in the area on the night Mr Manson was murdered.
All drivers travelling in or out of Coominya on Wednesday night was stopped and asked if they had seen the vehicles at the location on the night of December 8 or early in the morning, December 9.
Police said five motorists confirmed they had seen at least one of the vehicles during that time.
Police believe 48-year-old Mr Manson was involved in a physical altercation near Coominya before he was loaded into the back of his ute, driven to dirt track near Bolingbroke Road, where his body was discovered December 10.
A possible link between the murders of Mr Manson and Buaraba man, Carl Upson, who was found shot dead in his home on Mt Mulgowie Road near Esk, on December 16.
