Accused of stabbing his partner to death, case hits courts

THE Leichhardt man accused of stabbing his partner to death has had his matter mentioned briefly in court.

Wayne Ashley O'Sullivan, 47, has been charged with the murder of his partner and mother-of-six Michelle Reynolds, 46, during the early hours of April 4, 2016 at her Rosewood home.

Ms Reynolds' body was discovered in her bedroom with multiple stab wounds following a call to emergency services.

None of her children were present in the house at the time.

Mr O'Sullivan's legal representative sought an adjournment on Wednesday in Ipswich Magistrates Court which was subsequently granted.

The matter will return to court on August 24.

Mr O'Sullivan has not applied for bail and remains in custody.
