Mum's touch on new range
MATER Hospital has released a new range of maternity and baby care products that will be sold at a select number of Woolworths stores.
Officials from Mater and Woolworths met at the Mount Ommaney grocery store on Friday for the official launch of the products, which includes nappies, body wash, moisturiser and pregnancy balm, all of which are made here in south-east Queensland.
These products were already available to new mothers who gave birth at the Mater Hospital, but the deal with Woolworths means all mums can now purchase the items.
Proceeds from the product range will go towards Mater Little Miracles to help fund specialist life-saving care and research projects.
Mater CEO Dr Shane Kelly said the partnership reflected the high quality of the product range developed by Mater midwives and mums.
Logan mother Erika Little helped to co-create the range of products with Mater staff.
"After I gave birth to my son Abel, the Mater staff approached me and asked me to trial a new range of products and give them my feedback," she said.
