QUEENSLAND independent MP Billy Gordon will plead guilty to charges of drink-driving and unlicensed driving when he returns to court on July 1, the ABC reported on Monday.
Mr Gordon was charged after police pulled him over near Kuranda on June 1.
He returned a blood alcohol reading of 0.094% - almost double the limit. He did not have a current driver's licence at the time of the offence. The ABC said he was excused from appearing in Mareeba Magistrates Court.
The Cook MP will have to resign his seat if he gets a jail sentence of 12 months or more. Mr Gordon is one of the crossbenchers with the balance of power in the state parliament.
