Morcombes issue warning to watch out for scammers

BRUCE and Denise Morcombe have issued an online warning after fraudsters have been reportedly asking unsuspecting victims for false donations under the Daniel Morcombe Foundation name.

The couple issued the warning after they were told one woman had received a telemarketing call asking for donations to the foundation.

"If anyone receives a call or a knock at your door, can you please obtain details and advise the Police," the warning read.

The pair stressed the Daniel Morcombe Foundation does not and has never done any door knocking or telemarketing.
