MLS team honour for Aussie Tim Cahill

FOOTBALL: Australian Tim Cahill has been rewarded for an outstanding season, named in Major League Soccer's team of the year.

Cahill scored 11 goals and helped his New York Red Bulls claim the best regular-season record in the MLS.

The Socceroos star was among six players from outside North America named in the line-up.

Also included was former Irish and EPL star Robbie Keane.

LA Galaxy striker Landon Donovan was not included, snapping his run of five straight appearances in the elite squad.
