A QUEENSLAND man, missing from his Hervey Bay Bay home since Tuesday, could be travelling around Northern NSW, police believe.

The family of 25-year-old Christopher Stephenson are concerned as he has a medical condition and has not made contact since he left his Wondunna home on Tuesday morning.

Search efforts are focussed on Hervey Bay and Byron Bay where Christopher may be driving a blue 1998 Holden Barina Hatchback with a distinctive silver bonnet.

He is described as about 180cm tall with a muscular build, brown short curly hair, brown eyes and a fair complexion.
