Flood peak will be higher than 5m, but lower than 5.5m
UPDATE: According to the Bureau of Meteorology, there will be a minor flood peak today above five metres.
River levels are not expected to exceed the moderate flood level (5.5 metres).
EARLIER: Minor flooding is expected in the Burnett River overnight and on Monday morning, with water levels expected to hit 5m.
More showers over Bundaberg and the river's catchment area are expected in the next few days.
Bundaberg Mayor Mal Forman said no houses were at risk, but low-lying roads had water over them.
That included roads such as Targo St, where the water from a drain has gone over the road.
He also said it was possible that some water may enter the yards of flood-prone homes, but it was not expected to reach floorboard levels for any Bundaberg home.
The sports grounds at Kendalls Flat were also under water again.
Cr Forman said the council was constantly monitoring the river levels.
"We're regularly going down there to check on the river heights," he said.
The Bureau of Meteorology was also keeping watch, with the Burnett River one of its priorities.
