Fraser Island motorbike crash victim airlifted to hospital

A 39-YEAR-OLD man was flown to Hervey Bay Hospital with multiple fractures and facial injuries after crashing a motorbike on Fraser Island.

The man made his way back to Kingfisher Bay where he was treated by paramedics.

He crashed the motorbike on the east side of the island at 6.04pm on Tuesday.

After being treated at Kingfisher, he was airlifted to hospital with injuries including a fractured wrist and suspected fractures to his orbital bone.
