Man ordered off the roads until 2074 caught driving again

A MAN disqualified from driving for the next 61 years has been charged after being caught behind the wheel on the Coffs Coast. 

Police said officers noticed a Nissan Micra allegedly driving in a dangerous manner along Toormina Rd yesterday about 4pm. 

Officers from Coffs/Clarence Local Area Command stopped the vehicle and spoke to the driver before checks revealed he was disqualified until 2074.

The driver, a 32-year-old man from Toormina, was arrested and taken to Coffs Harbour Police Station.

He was issued a Field Court Attendance Notice for the offence of drive while disqualified and will appear in Coffs Harbour Local Court on Monday, January 14.
