A SOUTH Burnett man has been airlifted from his private property on Wednesday afternoon, after being seriously injured in a horse fall accident.
It is believed that the 55-year-old man was riding his horse on a private property at Ironpot, south west of Kingaroy, shortly before 1pm when he fell from his saddle.
The man was subsequently dragged behind the horse, before being kicked by the animal.
He suffered serious head and facial injuries as a result of the accident.
The Toowoomba-based RACQ CareFlight Rescue helicopter was tasked to the property at 1.15pm, and met Queensland Ambulance Service paramedics at the scene shortly after.
The CareFlight medical staff helped to stabilise the man, before transporting him to Brisbane's Princess Alexandra Hospital for treatment.
He was in a serious but stable condition.
