Man rushed to hospital after suspected snake bite

A 49-YEAR-OLD man has been taken to Mackay Base Hospital with a possible snake bite.

A Queensland Ambulance Services spokesman said a triple zero call was made at 12.15pm today, and an ambulance picked up the man from a Kippen St residence.

A Mackay Base Hospital spokeswoman said the man was in a stable condition, but said she was unable to confirm whether he had been bitten by a snake.
