Man hospitalised after molotov cocktail attack

POLICE are investigating an incident in which a man was assaulted in Koongalba St, Yandina, last night.

"Around 1.30am a man in a white vehicle stopped in front of a Koongalba Street address and threw what is believed to have been a molotov cocktail, which failed to ignite, towards the dwelling," a police spokesperson said.

"A man confronted the driver of the vehicle who then threw a second molotov cocktail, causing burns to the man's chest and arms, before leaving the scene.

"A 43-year-old man has been transported to Nambour General Hospital and treated for minor burns to his arms and chest."
