Man dies after car crash

A 20-YEAR-OLD man has died in hospital following a serious crash on the Warrego Highway around Gatton on January 20.

The Indian national, Parvinder Singh, had been living at Kingaroy but a Gatton police spokesman said the crash occurred near Lawes, right next to the BP service station.

The single vehicle crash occurred last Thursday at 1.20am and the car contained three passengers. The car left the road and rolled after it struck a drainage culvert and Singh was thrown from the vehicle.

He sustained serious injuries and was taken to the Princess Alexandra Hospital where he died from the injuries.

The deceased had been living in the Kingaroy area and the forensic crash unit are continuing their investigation.

It is believed the vehicle was travelling west along the highway when the 26-year-old male driver veered off the road and over corrected, resulting in the car entering the grassed area in the centre of the road.
