Man climbed through window, sexually assaulted woman

POLICE have warned Ashmore residents to secure their homes after a man climbed through a bedroom window and sexually assaulted a woman early on Sunday morning. 

Gold Coast Detectives investigating the break and enter and assault are appealing to the public for information.

The man entered the home around 3am while the woman was asleep and left after the assault. 

He is described as an adult male, 175 cm tall, slim build, unshaven with olive complexion.

Detectives are appealing for anyone that may have seen or heard anything suspicious to contact Crime Stoppers.

Police would also urge members of the community to be mindful of securing their homes and locking all windows and doors.

Investigations into the incident are continuing.
