Man charged over 'horrific' rapes of kids fostered by his family

AUTHORITIES are looking back through almost a decade of foster kids after a young man was charged with a "horrific" series of rapes on two young children in care at his home.

The 25-year-old was living with his mother when she allegedly discovered he had been abusing two foster children, aged six and seven, who were living in their north Brisbane home.

The abuse was alleged to have been going on for two years.

It was understood that on making the discovery, the woman immediately contacted the Department of Child Safety and reported her son.
