Man charged over alleged sexual assault in Biloela

A MAN has been charged after an alleged sexual assault in Biloela in the early hours of Saturday.

A woman was walking on Kariboe Street at about 2.20am when she was approached by a man.

It will be alleged that the man, 32, sexually assaulted the woman, before she called for assistance and another person came to her aid.

A brief struggle ensued and the man left the scene on foot.

A Biloela man has been charged with one count of assault with intent to rape, and will appear in the Gladstone Magistrates Court on Monday.
