Man armed with a meat cleaver holds up liquor store

POLICE are investigating an armed robbery at a bottle shop in Bundaberg on Saturday evening.

At around 7.30pm a man armed with meat cleaver entered the liquor store on Thabeban and demanded money from the male attendant. 

The attendant complied with demands and the man fled the store on foot with a sum of cash and some bottles of alcohol.

No one was physically injured during the incident.

The man was wearing all black clothing with a red bandanna covering his face.
