Man allegedly robbed Arana Hills servo before hitting staff

A MAN is facing charges after allegedly walking straight out of a service station with food without paying.

Police allege that around 12.20am a man entered the Dawson Parade business and took a food item from a shelf and walked out without paying for it.

When the male attendant confronted the man it will be alleged the attendant was assaulted and pushed to the ground.

The man then walked off.

Around 12.40am it will be alleged the same man returned to the store and again assaulted the attendant when the attendant attempted to prevent his entry.

It will be alleged the man then entered the store and took further items from the shelves and became involved in another scuffle with the attendant before fleeing.

The male attendant received minor injuries.

The Police Dog Squad attended and a man was subsequently located nearby and arrested.

A 28-year-old Ferny Grove man has been charged with two counts each of enter premises to commit indictable offence and robbery with violence.  He is expected to appear at the Brisbane Magistrates Court on May 16.
