A MAN in his 20s has been airlifted to hospital after coming off his motorbike at Obi Obi during a Sunday morning social ride.

RACQ CareFlight's Sunshine Coast rescue helicopter was activated to Obi Obi road, about 18 km West of Nambour on Sunday morning.

The rescue helicopter landed at field adjacent to the incident where the man from Brisbane had been on a social motorcycle ride with about 20 other bikes when he failed to negotiate a corner and he fell off.

He was treated by QAS and the rescue helicopter's medical team for a possible neck injury.

He was airlifted to Nambour Hospital in a stable condition.
