
UPDATE: Man, 82, to be flown to Brisbane after 7m fall
UPDATE 4.30PM:
AN 82-YEAR-OLD man lay unconscious on the ground for more than 10 minutes after falling out of a mango tree.
The man had climbed the tree to cut some branches when he slipped and fell about 7m.
The man suffered a fractured arm, and injuries to his pelvis and legs.
Paramedics treated the man at the scene and he was taken to Bundaberg Hospital in a stable condition.
The patient is likely to be transported to Brisbane.
EARLIER
AN ELDERLY man has fallen almost 7m out of a tree with paramedics still at the scene.
The man, 82, fell out of the tree near his home at Nelson St, Childers about 10.30am.
The man is in a serious condition with a critical care paramedic en route.
The man will be taken to Bundaberg Hospital.
